Visiting scholar at Royal Holloway, University of London

In the spring of 2019 I was lucky enough to be visiting scholar at Royal Holloway, University of London. My excellent host, professor Ben O'Loughlin, provided the perfect setting for writing and discussion of research on the representation of war, security and global risks in news and entertainment media.

Note the sign on the door just outside my office: -) My office was located on the first floor on the right side of the building known as the Founders' Building, as seen above.

The college is located outside of London in the quiet town of Egham. Few distractions and good environment for writing. At the same time; London close by, if I needed to be distracted. Some very productive months and I returned home to Lillehammer with a briefcase full of papers and a head full of new ideas.

I did not get to see another Norwegian researcher at Royal Holloway; Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård). In the video the Norse god Thor collects him at Holloway to provide some scientific advice. I think the movie is Avengers: Age of Ultron.
